Scuba Santas is organised by Lloyd Watkin (who founded Scuba Santas with others from Yorkshire Divers) with help from diving medicine charity DDRC Healthcare. Each year around Christmas time we dress up in Santa costumes to raise money for charity.
In 2007 we raised a few hundred pounds for the RNLI with 8 participating Santas, a Viking, a snowman, and a fairy! We’ve now raised over £20,000 and motivated people to start similar events all over the world since. Our event is now held each year at an inland dive site called National Diving and Activity Centre near Chepstow.
Sponsors This Year Include:
- National Diving & Activity Centre (NDAC) – our hosts for the day
- DDRC Healthcare – who have helped to organise the event this year
- Mark Powell – Dive Tech
- Scuba Travel
- Diving Matrix
- Dive DIR
- UK Bungee
- Scapa Scuba
- 6 Fathoms dive wear
- Kent Tooling Diving Products
